Maybe you took a break from your business during the summer months, or maybe you’re trying to figure out how to finish the year strong. Either way, it’s safe to say this year has flown by!

One thing to keep in mind is that even though we’re technically still months away, Christmas will be here before you know it!

The fact is, you’re going to need some of that revenue before Christmas to buy gifts for the kids, friends, family, and anyone else added to your ever-growing list. Don’t worry, though, there’s no need to panic!

Today I’m going to give you 6 Strategies to Kickstart Your Holiday Marketing months in advance, so you won’t get caught by surprise.

Pick One Product to Promote

I know you’re a superstar, and if you wanted to, you could promote more than one product or service at a time.

That being said, I highly suggest that you focus on one opportunity because it minimizes distraction and ensures that you have enough bandwidth to really push that product to the best of your ability.

Think quality over quantity!

Plus, having a laser-like focus on one product will also ensure you know all the ins and outs about it- no matter if it’s one particular candle, package, or promotion- weigh your options and pick the one you feel is best.

Build a Website to Promote It On

As solopreneurs, it’s so important to have your own personal, professional-looking website to promote that one product or service you want to sell.

Using the free sites like WordPress.com, Blogger, or Wix, will only provide an amateur-looking page that you’d have to figure out how to manage yourself.

Whereas if you build your site through this mentorship program you not only walk away with a completed, professional site, but someone who will help you figure out how to monetize it.

Create Content

Once your website is built and you’re ready to promote that one product or service, the next step is to create some content!

(This is where your marketing effort for that one product that you choose comes in.)

Do your best to ignore social media, sit down and write 10 blog posts about the product or service that you want to sell.

I know that 10 whole posts sound like a lot, but just imagine all the time you’d get back if you shift your focus to your blog instead of worrying about posting on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

The best part is that the blogs themselves don’t have to be complex; they can be anything from the benefits to testimonials to comparisons!

Generate Good Graphics

For each of those blog posts, you’re going to need at least 3 images. Nothing too fancy as you can see, but just enough to make the black and white of text look different.

Regardless if it’s an image of the product itself or images related to your product/service- you need good pictures to draw people in!

One great way to make good graphics easily is using Canva.

I know it may sound intimidating to have to make your own images but there’s no need to worry! Canva is very easy, offers lots of simple tutorials, and it’s free!

Start Syndicating

All right, so you’ve got your product, you’ve got your website, your content, and you’ve got your images.

Now it’s time to take off those blinders and start syndicating your content.

To ensure that people actually see your posts and your page, you need to link them with sites that get more traffic.

Sites like Quora or Tumblr will allow you to answer people’s questions, backlink your blog content to the page, and ultimately drive traffic to whatever it is you’re selling.

Share Across Social Media

Now it’s time to take those 10 blog posts and share them across as many social media pages as you can.

I’m talking Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and even Instagram (which is currently adding a touch-link tool!)

I’d also suggest using the simple, user-friendly program called CoSchedule to manage all your posts and sit back and watch the traffic grow to your site.

I know that six steps can seem daunting but, the fact is that if you want to get more eyes on your products and ultimately get more sales, this is going your go-to process.

The best part is that you can use this process multiple times, for multiple products, and be discovered by audiences looking for those specific products and services- making you more sales by December 25th.

So, Merry Christmas everyone- and remember, the sky is the limit!
