DMO for Online Marketers

In online marketing you got to understand what your business is about.

Even as a network marketer you need to pull out what is most important.

When I think of network marketing I think of it this way – marketing to build a network that will pay me.

Now when you break that down is that any different to what Apple has done.

They have created a network of loyal customers through some GREAT marketing which in turn pays the owners of Apple.

So why approach your network marketing business any differently.

Here are my top 10 things that you should be doing everyday to build your network.

Now you don’t have to do all but each of them need to slowly but surely entire into your Daily Plan.

Daily Mode of Operation Task

1. Content Creation and distribution.

  • Create a video
  • Write a Blog Post

2. Marketing and Promotion

  • Social Media Post
  • Product promotion posts
  • Engagement Posts
  • Re-distribution of Content
  • Sharing other Valuable content

3. Follow up

  • Follow up call
  • Email your LIST

4. Personal Development

  • Read 15 mins of a book that will help you improve in one specific area of your business.
  • Attend a Training or Team Building Webinar or meeting once a week

5. Generate Leads

6. Plan for the next Day

  • Spend at least 30 mins planning your work for the next day

Realistically speaking your goal is to be able to perform these tasks within 3 hours.

Now don’t get all hot and bothered.

Remember you decided to an entrepreneur because you wanted freedom of time and money!

So your aim is to NOT work 8 hours a day.

If you can’t do the above in 3 hours or less then you’re in trouble.

You see you need to spend the other time meeting people, networking in the real world and socializing.

You may also have other side projects that you’re working on that require your time else where.

I didn’t become an entrepreneur so that I can just kick back!

I became an entrepreneur so that I control what I do with my time.

What you may realize when you start your own business is that you are able to do a lot more in less time …..

and …. almost everything you DO is geared towards your business.

Now I don’t mean in a calculated sinister kind of way.

I mean even if you’re having coffee with a friend, you may talk to them about a project you’re working on and you’re looking for some resources they may have.

Or when you go to that committee dinner, you’re letting a friend know that you’re working with a “guy” who you think he should connect with.

In other words, even “play” time can be converted into subtle “work” time.

And I LOVE THAT.

I love that I can WORK whenever I want to.

You know there are situations where people say, “Please not now, no work today”

In your business — YOU are your BUSINESS — so people are more interested.

What an outstanding point, Hilary! And thanks for the outline and time limit. Fantastic post.

Thanks Ruthanne, I think many people think that when you work for yourself you get to not work as much. You just manage your time differently.

Great post and you’ve outlined an effective way to break up your day. I am not at 3 hours yet but I’m working on it. I find taking time to write blogs and emails to my list takes more time than it probably should. One thing I started doing this year was setting Saturdays aside for personal development and, thus far, it’s working great.

That is actually a great way of getting personal development in. What I noticed is I get alot of writing ideas from my reading. That’s probably the only reason I do the 15 mins a day.
        Thanks for the feedback!

A great way to break up the day! I’d never thought about the three hour work bit, but that makes total sense! Great post!
