Many of my fellow social media managers are probably sitting at home right now doing what they’ve always done…. get to work!

Today seemed like a great day to talk about what are the things you can do from home if you were locked away in quarantine in your home because of a virus that was running rampant all over the world!

Well COVID-19 has taken over our world and those who had no idea that you CAN work from home are realizing that it is not only possible but you can make a living doing just that. What the Coronavirus has been doing for most businesses has been well let’s just say a little frightening.

Many people during this time have asked me specifically what is that I do, with three children in tow?

The answer is simple.

I help people maximize the power of social media for their business to increase visibility, leads and profit!

But why would anyone be interested in even becoming a social media manager?

Easy to Learn

Social Media Easy to Learn

Compared with my two engineering degrees, getting certified as a Social Media Manager was a walk in the park!

Compared to other trade skills Social Media is fun, easy to learn, and most people already have a level of comfort using it personally.

I haven’t met many people who don’t have at least one social account. Yes there is a learning curve in understanding how to use Social Media for Business but once you put on your “work” hat things start to flow.

Social Media is in High Demand

This world crisis has proved a few things about social media. Social Media Professionals are definitely in high demand which leaves one feeling assured of a future so long as businesses exists .

Another thing that’s great about being a social media manager is as long as the world crisis has nothing to do with the internet it’s CRISIS PROOF!

The demand for social media professionals does not seem to slowing down, actually it’s increasing.

Social Media Services are location Independent.

This is the best part for me. I’ve been managing clients from all over the world comfortably from the my beautiful twin island here in the Caribbean.

There are many social media managers who are fortunate to be able to continue their work from home completely uninterrupted when a world crisis hits.

Time Flexibility

Social Media provides Flexibility

Apart from being able to work from anywhere, you also have the flexibility to prioritize your life the way you want.

As I have three children it’s very important that I have time for their various activities, school holidays, outings etc. Being a Social Media Professional gives me that flexibility.

How to become a Social Media Manager

So you’re probably wondering how do I benefit from all this?

Well when I got started I did a few “free” courses here and there until I was lead into the direction of Social Media Managers Pro Community!

I must say that I have not come across another training community for social media managers like this one.

The reality is like most professionals you know what to do, you just don’t know how to start your business.

At Social Media Manager Pro you’re not only trained to know how to manage clients, you’re taught how to find clients, how to negotiate, how to set your pricing etc.

It’s a dream come true for anyone wanting to start a career, in this profession and I highly recommend them.
