How to Create Your Own Product
So remember when we discussed recently creating your product?
It wasn’t too long ago.
In that post I gave you some pointers (three) to be exact,
on how you can go about starting to develop your own product.
Well recently I had the privilege of interviewing on my friend and mentor Chef Katrina.
Katrina created her very own online product a few years ago.
But just like you, when she created this product, she was just as green as you are right now.
Katrina discusses with us her journey in creating her product Blogging Ingredients.
As well as giving us some golden nuggets on how we too can go out there and create own products and start generating an income.
She also gave us some Free tools that you can use when creating your own product.
My Biggest Take-away
One of my biggest take-aways from this interview was that you don’t have to be an expert to create a product.
I was always a little hesitant about creating a product because I really didn’t know what to create a product about.
Katrina shows just how you can create a product for almost anything.
As she explains, creating a product is very easy.
You need to think about two big things really
1. The components of delivering the product and
2. The teaching bits or Structure
I’m just giving you a brief summary here.
You’ll have to watch the video down below yourself.
Here are the Highlights
Know what your motivation is for creating your product.
And get over the lack of self belief.
You can do this!
Creating a product is not as hard as we think it is,
but 90% of this process is just believing.
But Katrina really opens up in telling how she over that lack of self-believe right around minute 13.11
She also shows that nearly everything that we do is something we can teach.
And there are people who don’t know what you know.
So go out and create a product to teach them!
So we talked about the components of the product delivery
The components of the product
What do we mean by the components.
Well that’s the pieces that will make it a product that can be delivered
So these include thing like
- Your capture page
- An autoresponder
- Your Thank you page or Sales Page
- Your payment piece
- Your actual product
Katrina actually broke this down into three pieces but I’ve just expanded it a little for ease of reference.
Teaching Material (Structure)
So right down to the end of the interview Katrina pulled out a piece of paper.
And she talked about how you actually get the details of your product worked out.
She shared basically the process she went through.
And each step that she went through was something that she was going to have to show her customers.
I hope you caught the big piece of what she said.
When you’re creating a product most online products are never really “finished”
So I hope you got value from this post and our interview with Chef Katrina.
Share the knowledge.
