The reality is when you’re blogging you’re sharing valuable content with your audience.
I hate when people say you’re sharing with the world.
The reality is the WORLD isn’t looking for you.
Just the people who have the problem that you’re providing a solution to.
So today your problem is
“[Tweet “What can I do on my blog to increase the number of leads I get a day. “”]
You can watch the video to get a better idea about what I mean.
But basically here’s what you want to do. The name of the game is multiple opt-in opportunities.
If you want to grow your business, get more leads, and more sales then you need to do one thing in these five ways.
Have a way for your visitors to opt-into your newsletter or marketing list.
So where do you place these opt-in forms
Position 1: The Sidebar
Pretty obvious. This position has become almost standard. People look for your opt-in form in the side bar.
So imagine if you’re one of those dorks that doesn’t have a side-bar opt-in.
It’s like someone in 2015 not knowing what Google is.
Position 2: The next is the Feature Box.
The feature box is one of those that usually comes on your home page. So some websites you’ll see a person with a video and then the opt-in form is right next to the video.
OR
You also see some people have these pop up from the bottom boxes. Not specifically an opt-in box but it’s a way for the visitor to communicate with you.
They are essentially raising their hand and saying “I want to know more about what you have to offer!”
Position 3: Below Your Blog Posts
So your business has a blog.
Which means you blog at least once a week.
then you syndicate that blog everyday. Maybe you run ads to that specific post.
The point is when someone is finished reading the blog post what do they see?
A Nice picture of you? Or do they see an option for them to LEARN MORE.
Position 4: Inside the Blog posts
Now there are a few ways this can be done.
I’ve seen people use images, simple hyperlinks and flat out opt-in boxes in the middle of a post.
The funny thing is whatever you use it serves two purposes!
It breaks up your content so it’s not boring and hard to read and you have yet another opportunity to pick up leads.
The 5th Position: The About Me Page
Now for your business whatever it may be, when someone visits your site there are two places they are likely to look (besides the page they landed on)
The Services page (whatever you call it ) and the About us page.
These are the highest visited pages on any website. People want to know who you are and what you have to offer. So don’t you think it would be a wise thing to include a few points on these pages for people to “opt-in”
Yup I think so.
So if you didn’t watch the video go back and have a look. I actually show you all these and even let you know my own downfalls.

Now that’s STRATEGIC marketing placing many different places for your CTA…
My favorite is putting a P.S. at the end of my blog post
Dr. Lisa
Thanks Lisa! We often think of a CTA as just one location and that’s it! But there are soooo many opportunities have to your CTA.
My favorite is the P.S as well. Especially for the skimmers.
