If you’re looking for an honest review of CoSchedule Marketing Calendar I’m here to help.

My Blog Post Social Campaign Plugin on WordPress

After reading this post you may think I’m a bit biased after all I do have the plugin installed on my website, but we’ll get to this feature soon enough.

The truth is I’ve been using CoSchedule Marketing Calendar for quite some time and it’s the one platform I recommend for all my clients especially those that I manage their blog and social media.

So let’s get down to business.

I mentioned social media so you’re probably thinking CoSchedule is just another content management tool for social media.

Well if I said yes, I won’t be lying but then you would think that’s all it can be used for.

They reality is the more I use CoSchedule Marketing Calendar I see the power of getting “rid” of many of many other tools.

In the video below Coschedule has done a really great job of explaining what I mean by combining tools.

I was the person that had the spreadsheets and the white board which is right behind me as I write this post, and don’t forget the 12 month wall calendar so that you can see each quarter at a glance.

Have you ever wanted to know how to combine special holidays with your marketing without having to go between a spreadsheet, the calendar and your scheduler?

Well the solution has arrived.

The overview below covers that and much more.

Marketing Calendar Overview

How I have used the Marketing Calendar by CoSchedule

When I first started using CoSchedule I used it mainly for scheduling social media content.

I quickly came across a tool that I would NEVER trade for anything in the world. ReQueue!

ReQueue

My ReQueue Groups

If ReQueue was the only additional feature in Coschedule I’d keep it just for that feature. It has literally saved my social media presence since I started using it.

Especially during my third pregnancy and also after delivering I had no time for posting new social media content, but I didn’t have to.

I had ReQueue in place and content went out like clockwork. When I was able to get back on my feet I was able to add to that bucket of content.

You’re probably asking how does ReQueue work, well basically you can either add to the content bucket every time you schedule a post or you can add it to a group.

I’ve created a few groups based on content type – Promotion, Evergreen Blog Content, Inspiration Images etc. Then you set it and forget it!

Social Campaigns

Another feature that I love are Social Campaigns! This I use especially for affiliate launches. I don’t know if you’ve ever been involved in big affiliate launches but often the company will share, emails, social assets, copy for ads or social posts and it’s your job to just get the message out there.

Well I’ve found that creating Social Campaigns for these affiliate launches are great, because if you’ve done it a few times you already know that the company you’re an affiliate for is likely going to use the same structure. The copy and images may change but you can always update that in your campaign.

What the campaign allows you to do is have a set sequence of marketing activities already planned for you to just press play!

Social Campaigns are also great for setting up blog syndication campaigns. This way you’ll never forget to share you blog posts once published.

I’m a strong advocate for blogging it’s why I’ve always published at 12 blog posts a year (once a month in case you didn’t catch that). Some years I publish more when I’m doing a challenge. I’ve always had a goal to publish one blog post a week.

The Marketing Calendar by CoSchedule actually help me achieve that one year.

I wrote down 52 topics I wanted to write about that year and I added to them to my calendar.

Sure enough every time I came in to schedule social media I would see that I’m suppose to be publishing a blog post on a certain date on the calendar. It wasn’t written yet but it was there on my calendar reminding me that I need to write this week.

The following year I shifted to every two weeks – you could imagine the pressure! (chuckles to myself).

Here’s a quick 12 minute overview of some of the features that I love about CoSchedule that any marketer will love as well.

As they say a picture speaks a thousand words but video tells it all.

Take CoSchedule for a spin you’ll love it! I’ve looked at other tools and I’ve always come back to CoSchedule, you will too!

Wow! I didn’t realize we could do all of that with co-scheduler. I’ve been using this for years, I guess it’s time to dive back into this tool and see what’s new!

Thank you for this post. Invaluable!
