I’m Hilary

And yes I am a network marketer.

And I decided that I no longer wanted to waste close to 5 hours a day hosting ONE class with at maximum 5 people.

I decided that they must be another way.

The problem was that I was being told this was the way!

This was the only way.

And I’m a very obedient person.

So when a “superior” – my upline – tells me this is how you sell and this is how you recruit,

I was a very good girl doing just that.

Now I’ve quit and come back to my company many times;

And I decided that I wasn’t going to quit again.

I was going to do something different.

I decided that I will give their way a chance for a year – consistently – then if that didn’t work I will try a different approach.

So as you can imagine it didn’t work.

I got sales and new customers but no recruits.

The only good thing about their way was that I actually built a list of about 100 people in a year!

Some people will tell you they can build a list of 100 people in a month!

So I went to those people who can build a list of 100 people in a month!

And I sat at their feet and I listened.

I went to webinars

I attended the No Excuses Summit via the web

And I attended mastermind sessions!

I realized that the internet was an enormous source of information.

I realized that the internet was an enormous source of business

I realized that the internet held the key to my lead generation problem.

I want to tell you a story –

I jumped on the internet for business in April 2014.

I started sharing all my new knowledge,

I started writing about my new knowledge.

Every time I learned something

I wrote about it.

If someone had a question – I answered by writing.

Last night I got an email from someone who found me on LinkedIn.

He wanted to get some information about my company and the services we offer.

Remember the list of 100 people I had as customers.

I started applying the simple principle of communicating with them.

I had email addresses.

So I started to email.

Three days after I started emailing, I got a reply.

“Hi Hilary, How do I sign up to a Mary Kay Consultant?”

We have barely crossed the first week of January and because of the ground work I laid from April 2014 to now I have new business!

Because of the learning I implemented immediately I have business.

Now you’re probably saying,

“Hilary that’s a long time to wait for business. 9 months!!! I can’t wait that long for business”

My response to you will be

“Has any other method worked? I know for all the skin care classes I have had, no one ever CAME to me and said they want to join. I always had to convince them to join.”

I don’t know about you,

but if I have to convince someone to earn more money then I don’t want that person on my team anyway!

I want people raising their hands and saying, “pick me! pick me!”

And I want to be the one to say, “You’re not a good fit for my team”

You have to be in the position where people come running to you.

If it takes 9 months, 6 months, 8 months.

Once everything is set up the leads will continue to flow.

So back to Attraction Marketing Formula.
