No Excuses Takeaways – Tell YOUR Story
You know when you attend an event – whether in person or via the internet – you have so much you want to share you don’t know where to start.
Well here’s me starting.
You’re probably going to be hearing about No Excuses Summit for a while. (wink wink).
Either way this has got to be the best thing that has happened to me in a long time.
Why you need to develop your I-Story
For all the network marketers out there who haven’t started developing your Story – your I story – you better sit down and start writing.
People buy things yes! But people buy things from YOU.
So Who are You?
They want to know who you are and what you do –
because the only way they are going to share their credit card with you is if they TRUST you.
Although you may think that you are no one special and
you’ve done nothing that big in your life
you’d be surprised how many Industrial Engineers are out there who may want to know what a fellow Industrial Engineer is doing.
(yes I’m an Industrial Engineering).
I know it wasn’t very subtle but you get my point.
Don’t feel like you have nothing to share with other people because God made only ONE of you.
And although you may have similar experiences,
similar characteristics with other people
you may have even been born, went to school with, played the same instrument as… ,
graduated from the same university as…, got married in the same church as….
Many other people.
You’re different to everyone else
You’re different to everyone else and that makes you special

Those people didn’t marry YOUR wife,
they don’t live in YOUR house,
they don’t have YOUR mother or father,
they certainly don’t have YOUR children.
So yes people will connect with you because of what you have in common,
but they will remain connected to you because what you have that is different.
Don’t be afraid to share your story.
Don’t be afraid to tell people that you’re 5 foot 3 and a half (and I will fight that half inch down for the rest of my life!).
Don’t be afraid to be YOU.
Being YOU is the best tool that you can have in your business arsenal.
It’s not knowing how to write a blog, or write an email
it’s not knowing how to shoot a video,
it’s not knowing how, when and where to get Ad placement
– YOU – are the best thing that you have to making your business a success.
