If you’re struggling to get traffic to your site.
You probably haven’t figured out how to attract to people to perform the specific ACTION of clicking on what they’re reading at this very moment.
Sometimes the problem with getting traffic to a site is that you don’t have anything that will grab their attention quickly and promptly to action.
Remember when we talked about Advertising and what are the three things your ad should have.
Well a LEAD Magnet is very similar.
After a prospect has clicked on your link they are generally taken to a page that will have your LEAD MAGNET on it.
Now whether this lead magnet is a letter, video, a brief it should have these FOUR things.
Here goes.
1) SOLVE A PROBLEM.
Everyone and their mother has problems.
You’re here to find solutions to those problems and help solve them. (that’s how you make money).
Just think about what the pharmaceutical industry has done..
They have literally created millions and millions scratch that – BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of dollars from solving problems that THEY INVENTED.
Before they told you about the problem you never had that problem,
you never knew what the problem was.
Well you’re going to do the same thing, but you actually KNOW these are REAL problems because you’ve probably had the same problem and now you’ve found the solution.
So SOLVE a PROBLEM.
2) Provide a BIG PROMISE.
Here’s where you have to have had a little experience in living the problem and then using the solution.
Honesty is the best policy here – so if you don’t know that the solution works then you can’t promise anything .
But we know that this SOLUTION works because you’re here reading this blog right now.
So I can promise you that your business will grow that your leads will increase and that you will make money in your business by using the system that solves the problem you’ve identified.
3) Provide Instant Gratification.
Everyone wants the answer NOW!
So give it to them.
Don’t hold out on them.
You need to provide something in exchange for information.
You can’t tell someone, “Give me your name, number and email address and I will give you ——— (NADA!!!)”
Nope it doesn’t work that way.
If you want their information
(and just in case you didn’t realize this – the purpose of a lead magnet is in fact to get their information NOT sell them anything)
then you have to provide instant gratification of the solution that you know will solves the problem.
4) PROVIDE THE VALUE
So naturally the fourth element is to PROVIDE THE VALUE.
(but not all)
You may know that the solution has 10 parts, but three of them will get your reader started, it will allow them to see results and want to come back for more.
So don’t give the pot away.
You want them to have a reason for returning to you even though by this point you’ve already gotten their information.
You want them to come to you as much as possible.
So in a nutshell that’s a Lead Magnet;
It
1. Solves a problem
2. Provides a Big Promise
3. Provides the solution Instantly
4. is of GREAT value!
