Most moms are afraid of a few things.

Their children turning to the “dark side” is sometimes a big one!

Not being there for them, not having enough money to get the things for them you probably didn’t have

And the list can go on and on.

And now to add to the mix you’ve decided to stay at home and run a business so that you can have both worlds; work and motherhood on your terms.
Most moms who start a business from home desire one thing – More time with their children!

Spend Time with Children

But once you leave that job and actually start down the journey you realize you’re spending less time with them.

Because one of the biggest challenges for most mothers is balancing the responsibilities of work and the responsibilities of home.

But no-one told you before you quit your job, that you’ll be working three times as much as you were in a J.O.B

It’s not because you want to, it’s because that is just what happens when you take on a company and you’re the only employee!

Yes because now you’re everything!

You’re the CEO, the CFO, the COO, and the CMO.

You have to create the vision, plan out the goals and strategies and EXECUTE. Not to mention you MUST keep your finances in order unless you’re going to have a melt down and your business will go belly up!

Here’s the thing too, even though you’re working “from home” you still have to keep that separation of everything! Work is work and play is play.

So you’re probably saying to yourself at this point you made a bad decision to leave your job and follow the dream of being a “work-from-home” mom.

No you didn’t!

The rewards will far out weigh the challenges you will inevitably face!

But there are ways to cope and deal with it.

Now if you’re dead broke I’m going to tell you right now – next to everything I’m about to share with you – you need to pray! And I mean call on the higher powers!

Because if you’re dead broke and you’re not able to get 8 hours of work into your business a day you ARE going to feel a pinch now and then.

So pray! Don’t pray for the money tree to start growing in your back yard. Pray for serenity, strength, patience, guidance, a CLEAR HEAD.

So back to how do you a mother survive running a business from home.

1. Keep fixed work hours

2. Communicate with your support unit

3. Make time for yourself

4. Implement systems to help with Life and Business

5. Focus (on one aspect of your business at a time)

6. Be Accountable to someone

7. Develop multiple streams of income

8. Make sure you’re building a business around your passion.

9. Keep a careful eye on money

10. Spend time with your children and husband

So if you attempt to implement each of these 10 tips you’re sure to start finding the sweet spot between being MOM and being a mompreneur!
