Time Management for the Small Business
Small Business owners struggle with many things.
Trying to keep productivity up is no different.
But maybe the issue isn’t productivity but time management.
Many solo entrepreneurs and small business owners struggle with time management.
This isn’t because they don’t know how to manage their time, but they just don’t know where or how to focus the time they have.
This month on the Marketing Moms Trinidad series we will be focusing on Small Business Time Management and Productivity.
Today in our introduction to this topic we made a few connections between a mother managing the home and a small business owner.
The examples may tickle you.

Being an engineer I absolute love to help people with productivity and time management.
And I would say that it is because of my engineering thinking that I sometimes turn my home into a manufacturing shop!
One of the examples I gave about doing laundry and watching TV may seem very simple
but I’ve met many mothers who never thought of this.
There are tasks that can be done simultaneously and there are tasks that you just have to do on their own.
Just like managing a home, managing a business is no different.
You have to make decisions and trade-offs and find ways to compound your activities.
Yes as we mentioned in the video there are somethings that you cannot “compound”
The two books that have inspired this month’s theme as we discussed in our video today is
Both books have played a huge role in the way we approach our business.
One from the perspective of small additions and the other from the perspective of small trade-offs.
The main aspects that we touched on in today’s video include:
1. When to start developing your mastermind
Having people to help you is crucial.
Knowing that you can’t do it all is even more important.
2. How to schedule tasks to reduce future effort
Listen to Bernie’s Saturday ritual in the video

3. The need to delegate.
As Bernadette described she gets her boys in on the activities.
These three areas time management are sometimes very hard for business professionals to grasp.
For the most part small business owners believe that everything must be done by them!
And everything that they do must be done everyday.
That is not true!
There are things that you do everyday and we will touch on these in a Daily Mode of Operation;
but there are also things that a small business owner needs to delegate and plan.
So this month we’re going to be sharing tons more on this.
