Where do You Find Content?

websitecaputre

This question often comes up among our online marketing mastermind groups and my clients.

And where do you find content?

Where do you find content to post in your timeline?

Where do you find content to post on your blog?

Where do you find content to share?

As you probably know having a social media presence means you not only have to sell your products and services,  but you also have to provide value.

Value usually comes in the form of content.

But what would you post on your Facebook Fan Page?

What articles would you share?

Well the neatest trick was shown to me the other day.

Apart from subscribing to online magazines and other news worthy publications, you also want to find out what people are actually talking about.

Sometimes this takes a lot of work, depending on how active your Facebook newsfeed is it can be an easy exercise.

So here’s the quick and easy way.

And you can watch the video for more details.

But everyday I spend 20 minutes on Facebook. For my moms out there I know you will love this very quick and easy strategy especially on days when you just can’t find time to work the business.

I’m not on Facebook to play, it’s all business.

I’m there to do a few things.

1. Check on my Ads

2. Check for messages and comments on my pages

3. Schedule posts

4. Look to see what other people are posting.

Did you miss that last point.

Do I need to repeat it.

I look at what other people are posting.

Nine out of ten times there are more engaged people on Facebook than you.

There’s always the guru, the expert, the celebrity sharing something great.

I often look to see what Richard Branson has posted, or someone similarly “important”.

Why?

Because their have social proof.

And it’s not like you’re “stealing” their content.

You’re just sharing their content.

How many people do you know on a daily basis share a Zig Ziglar quote.

Everyone and their DOG knows who Zig Ziglar is.

So which post is going to get more engagement if you share it?

A Zig Ziglar quote or one you just made up.

Now if you are Robert Kioysaki reading this post, then your quote that you just made up may be just as effective as a Zig Ziglar quote.

But I doubt you are Robert Kiyosaki reading this post right now. (if you are thanks for the visit 🙂 )

So anywho!

Moving on.

Do you get my drift.

Content is shared every minute on Facebook.

There is nothing stopping you from re-sharing that content to get more engagement on your Facebook fan page.

So let me know show you what I mean.

Thanks for the great info, Hilary! Great point about Zig Ziglar’s quotes versus my own.
