Why Are Live Events Important: Day 3
We’ve been talking about some of the reasons people will generally give if they just can’t make it to a live event.
And I know this is a really touchy subject.
But it’s an excuse that you will get from time to time.
Especially from parents.
I know I’m one!
And when I had to leave my baby girl back in October to attend a three day LIVE event,
I was hurting!
I did NOT want to go!
Yes I knew every benefit of what it was going to do for my business etc. etc.
I knew that if I went I will be laying the foundations for this same baby girl to have a better future
etc. etc .
But it still didn’t change the fact that I did NOT want to LEAVE HER! (like who would want to leave that cute face)
Here’s my quick and easy solution to that pain that you’re feeling.
And it actually goes back to what my mentor Tim Erway shares in this video explaining the Elite Marketing Pro system.
[Tweet “You don’t want anything to get in the way of you keeping a roof over your children’s head.”]
Your WHY has to be powerful to make events attractive
Your why has to be more powerful than the pain of leaving your kids at home.

It’s that simple.
You do what needs to be done.
The pain of leaving them for a few days will disappear as you’re able to start providing for them the way you want.
Leaving your children for a few hours versus
Leaving them forever because Child Care Services has taken them away from you because you can’t support them.
That’s the decision you’re making.
I know I’m being a little harsh.
But I’m an engineer.
We’re kinna cut and dry like that.
Every decision I make when it comes to my business
stems from what I want to do for my child.
- I want to be able to send her to a private Catholic school
- I want to send her to a good University and not put her through the stress of getting student loans.
- I want to be able to have more than two children!
- I want to be able to build a house and call it home.
When your WHY becomes more than a mere dollar amount and it becomes your Vision.
Going to Live events becomes effortless.
You just do it.
You put things in place for the children and you just do it.
Would you attend an event for your job?
You probably answered yes!
Whether you have two children or twenty.
If your boss said to you today,
“I need you to fly to the New York office for a two day meeting next week”
You will probably just say, “Yes sir”
And start making arrangements.
Why should it be any different with your business?
If you have an opportunity to meet with and “rub shoulders” so to speak with leaders in your industry
Don’t you think you should be there.
My business partner is a mother of seven and she runs a business from home.
And guess what?!?!?!
She has managed to arrange her household so that she can attend live events like No Excuses Summit and her MLM.
(By the way – We do a weekly hangout called Marketing Moms Trindad – so subscribe to our channel)
Here’s my take on it as a new mother.
Don’t ever use your kids as an excuse for anything.
You wouldn’t use your kids as an excuse in your job, so don’t use them for your business.
Your kids are in fact the REASON you NEED to go!
And besides you’re in this entrepreneurial thing precisely because of your children!

Good point. We need to look long-term to help determine what we do today.
Agreed. If we only think about tomorrow we won’t get far with our dreams and goals. Thanks for following
